About Kevin Murphy

A small business operator with nearly three decades of experience, Kevin Murphy holds a BS in electrical engineering from the University of Maine in Orono. He joined Thompson Engineering Company full time in 1992 as a computer-aided design engineer. Since 1999, Kevin Murphy has led Thompson Engineering, based in Danvers, Massachusetts, as president.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Murphy has gained extensive experience in the preparation of feasibility studies and surveys that inform the appropriate course of action for renovating electrical systems in old buildings. Utilizing data from surveys, he creates detailed electrical drawings and has completed evaluations such as Chapter 149 and 149A forms for assessing project risk. He has participated in the design and installation of new electrical systems for a range of institutions and commercial clients, including systems for both public and private school buildings.

When he is not working, Kevin Murphy enjoys playing golf.
